Focusing on the characteristics of leaders of thriving credit unions, tools and tactics for developing transformational leaders, and how to navigate leadership through change. This "Crasher" workshop is open to ALL Spark attendees.

REE Presentations

REE cohorts will present their programs, progress, and insights dedicated to advancing racial economic equity. This session is a forum for participants to share and reflect on their work, in addition to receiving a chance to win the Catalyst Award, including $10,000 to support the winning project.

The following day, we will expand the conversation to all Spark attendees, featuring a comprehensive summary of the programs, presentations from the finalists, and the Catalyst Award ceremony. This event promises to be a dynamic display of commitment and innovation. Join us to learn how you can be a part of the collective effort driving change.

- Dr. Jeffrey Robinson will share insights on encouraging entrepreneurship and building community partnerships with highlights from the Racial Economic Equity (REE) Incubator. The top two REE teams will be announced during this time and they will than share their projects. The session will close with Dr. Robinson announcing the winner of the $10,000 Catalyst Award.

- This panel discussion centers on insights from the custom incubator designed by Filene in partnership with Conductiv, Inc. Through this collaboration, Conductiv’s platform has been tested for its potential to make lending decisions faster, fairer, and more efficient. During the session, panelists will share the pilots outcomes and discuss the possible implications for expanding financial service accessibility and evolving traditional lending practices within credit unions.

Measuring Social Impact: A View from Within and Beyond Credit Unions with Dr. Mai Nguyen and Callahan & Associates

In her talk, Dr. Mai Nguyen will share the challenges and advances in measuring social impact within and beyond credit unions and introduce a brand new tool, the social impact dashboard, designed in partnership with Callahan & Associates specifically for credit unions.
