Jon is President & CEO at Callahan & Associates and the vice president and assistant treasurer for TRUST Mutual Funds. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Callahan & Associates as well as myCUmortgage. Prior to taking the reins as managing partner for Callahan, Jon was responsible for leading sales and marketing for the TRUST Mutual Funds, which supports credit union investments through professionally managed mutual funds. He also was president and CEO of Credit Union Student Choice, a credit union-owned student lending CUSO. Under Jon’s leadership Credit Union Student Choice grew from a startup to originating more than 50,000 loans, representing balances in excess of $1.2 billion while delivering a 50% return on equity to the 230 credit union partners. Jon is a seasoned financial services professional with more than 15 years of credit union industry experience. He has extensive knowledge on the opportunities and challenges faced by the industry and a demonstrated talent for leading successful financial ventures. His proven ability to bring people together for the advancement of shared ideas, coupled with his amicable presentation style, creates the ideal environment for innovation incubation and ideation collaboration. His presentations consistently deliver impactful messages that move credit unions’ towards successful outcomes. Jon earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Denison University in Granville, OH, and an MBA from the Kogod School of Management at American University in Washington, DC. He also holds FINRA license series 6 and 63.

George Hofheimer arms credit unions with the creative, yet practical, ideas that meet the needs of today’s financial consumers. At Filene Research Institute, he leads five university-based, research centers focused on topics of critical importance to the future of consumer finance, oversees a series of product incubators, guides advisory programming and is consistently in the field working with institutions to create a positive consumer impact.

Prior to joining Filene, George spent eight years leading the executive education function for the Credit Union Executives Society (CUES). Before his career in consumer finance, George lived in the former Soviet Union working for such disparate organizations as the United States Peace Corps, Price Waterhouse, and US Trade and Development Agency. He previously served as board president at Willy Street Coop, a $60 million, 40,000-member natural foods cooperative.

George earned his MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
