Blake Woods grew up on the lakes of the appropriately named Waterford, Michigan. While studying advertising and public relations at Michigan State University, an internship at Lake Trust Credit Union was the entry point to the industry. Woods has worn many hats during his 10+ years in cooperatives including strategy, public relations, and digital marketing management.In 2013 he was selected to Crash both the GAC and Filene big.bright.minds events. In 2015, Woods was selected to be part of the Filene’s renowned i3 program, a group of next generation leaders aiming to deliver solutions to consumer finance’s biggest challenges. Woods is an alumnus of the Members Development Company’s Innovation Council, winning their inaugural Most Valuable Innovator award in 2016. In 2018, Woods was certified as a Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) by the National Credit Union Foundation.Woods joined TransUnion in 2019, as an Advisor on the Community Financial Institution team. He helps credit unions across the country amplify their impact and leverage Information for Good.Outside the office, Woods is an avid hockey player and snowboarder.
