Brandeis Marshall, PhD, DataedX CEO and Co-Founder, is a computer scientist by training, data geek by passion and always an educator. As CEO, she builds data equity strategies to enhance the workforce’s data competencies and support their career development. These activities promote data readiness and informed participation to humanize data through targeted workshops. She is a thought leader in broadening participation in data science and often centers inclusivity and equity in her work. Brandeis collaborates primarily with Black and Latinx organizations to amplify the racial, gender and socioeconomic impact of data in technology. Her lens of infusing social context with data and its implications have inspired others to rethink the role of data from public, private and civic sectors.
